Quick update

Hello people!

This is just a quick update for this blog, the last few days I've been very busy with school, I had 2 exams and 5 more are coming up in the course of the next month. Basically that means no more free time for me and severely reduced MyLot time. :P As far as the update goes, in the last 5 days I've made 14 cents on mylot, that with almost no new posts and discussions, which seems to me to be pretty good. That's it. Hope to get some free time soon, but it dosen't seem so.

Good luck and happy posting!

New entry

I've been exhausted with work the last couple of days, so mylot-ting is put on hold for a moment...
I've had some pretty interesting discussions though, for instance I started one about amd's three core processors, which generated in a discussion about my and another fellow mylot-ter's jobs, and what problems/people we come across during a normal day's work. Read about it here.

That's about It. Sorry for not keeping pace  with what I intended to present here, but It seems that work/school got the better of me. And to not be completely off topic, i'll post my mylot earnings for the last two days: 22c.

Knock yourself out! :))

The First Step Is Always The Hardest

I've only started using MyLot recently, that is, i've been a member for almost a year now, but for a while I've been caught up with other things and totally forgot about it.

What I've seen so far, after a few days of browsing around, is that the earnings have decreased drastically. It might have something to do with the fact that people don't actually click the ads, but I don't think that is the case, today most advertisers pay even for ad displaying.

Nevertheless, I'm not going to be put down by the low rewarding system, although when I first started, a post or reply was worth more than 1 cent, and now it seems to have dropped to half that amount. I made a whopping 58c yesterday, if you can believe that. :))

Would you eat this...?

Well, would you? :)

MyLot, being a place where the most brilliant minds of our time congregate, presents mostly interesting and challenging topics to discuss. However, there are some which... well i'll let you see for yourself...

My reply was that yes, I would. Why? I don't know... I guess things don't gross me out so easily. Although I did answer before reading the replies which followed... I might have had second thoughts if I'd have read them before!

Hey there...

Hello world!

The purpose of this blog is explained in the name. Basically, I'm tired of searching high and low
for the holy grail of Paid To sites, so i'm settling with MyLot. Why MyLot? well, it's one of the
first Paid to Post sites i've started on, and stuck with. Ok, enough said, let's get to business.

What is MyLot?

MyLot is a forum that pays you to use it. It's like that. There are 10's 100's of sites like it. I like this one. Why? I don't know... probably because it stood the test of time so far. It's not unique, certainly not the best paying at the moment, but hey, better babysteps than giant leaps. Right? There were hundreds of paying forums, they came and went. Mylot stayed. With a population of 116,893 at this time, it's one of ( if not the) biggest forums wich pays you to share your thoughts.

Why join?

Well that's a redundant question. You join to make some cash, of course. How much you make really depends up to you. Mylot's average user ranges from the money mongerer fanatic which spends countless hours upon hours posting replys and starting discussions, to old ladies (and i'm talking people in their 70's/80's!!!) and geltlemen who find posting on mylot an activity which rewards them both spiritually and socially, to the average forum user. The point is that you'll find so many types of people there that you can't say you "don't fit in". The place is a zoo! :))

How much cash do you make?

As I said, that really depends on you, and how much time you're willing to put into it. Here you'll get paid for anything. You get paid for replying to discussions, starting discussions, posting photos, commenting on blogs, getting replys to your discussions (yeah! you get cash when people talk about what you want to talk about!). So it's in your best interest to find something interesting to talk about. Asking questions is a good way to get lot's of replys. But beware, stay away from the Yes/No, or Black/White discussions. The earning system mylot uses is very wierd. Nobody has figured it out actually, so you don't know how much you get. Usually it's from 1 cent up for reply's. But if your content is good and you are active your earnings will increase. That's why it's good to stay away from one liner replys, like "Yes, I like that." , and stuff like that. Make posts as long as you can, prefferably 3 lines long or bigger. The earning and rating system is so complex that you never now how much you get and for what. Just keep being active and you will see the fruits of your labor. Another way to earn cash is to invite people to join mylot. You get a quarter of what the people you invite earn! The site pays for that, the people you invited don't loose anything!

How do you get paid?

Simple. When you reach 10$ mylot credits that amount to your paypal account. You can sign up for a paypal account here. Getting to 10 $ is no easy ride, although you can do it in two weeks, with a couple of hours a day posting, with no refferals. After you get some refferals, well... you get the idea. ;) Mylot pays on the 15'th of every month, but you have to make your payment request before the last day of the previous month.

Who can join mylot?

This is the best part. Everybody! You can live anywhere and still be able to use mylot. You get your money through paypal. If you don't have a bank account, you can still use the money for other stuff, like investments, online shopping, etc.

Finally,

I can say i've been for some time with this site, although I don't have a huge number of posts, (mainly because i'm lazy :P) I managed to learn a lot from here. Usually I spend hours just reading other people's discussions, and, while that really dosen't get me anything, i get a lot of kicks out of it. :)
